"WHILE PURSUING A CAREER AS PRODUCTION ANIMAL VETERINARIAN, THIS INTERNSHIP GAVE ME AN INSIDE VIEW OF ONE OF AMERICA'S PRIMARY PRODUCTION ANIMALS - SWINE.  I HAVE GAINED AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE PORK INDUSTRY FROM THE PRODUCER'S STANDPOINT.  THROUGH THIS INTERNSHIP, I NOW HAVE A CLEARER UNDERSTANDING OF A PRODUCER'S NEED TO CAREFULLY CONSIDER AND WEIGH THE PROS AND CONS OF TREATMENT OPTIONS".

- JONI, UNIVERSITY OF FINDLAY (SUMMER 15')

"LEARNING A SKILL IN A CLASSROOM IS DIFFERENT FROM ACTUALLY PERFORMING THE SKILL IN PERSON.  IT IS ALL ABOUT HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE.  I HAVE LEARNED SO MUCH MORE ABOUT SWINE AND LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION ON THE FARM THAN I EVER COULD ON A CHALKBOARD."

- BROOKE, LAKE LAND COLLEGE (FALL '15)

"AT THE LEGAN'S FARM I WAS ABLE TO TAKE ON RESPONSIBILITIES THAT WILL WELL SUITE ME FOR FUTURE LEADERSHIP ROLES IN MY CAREER.  MANY THANKS TO THE LEGAN FARM TO ALL THE THINGS I HAVE LEARNED OVER THE SUMMER."
